Mission Statement:
Our objective is to provide the highest quality product to the residential market, no matter the size of the project, and to operate the company in a businesslike manner.  We pledge to our clients that we will work on their project everyday from beginning to end and will complete the work as soon as possible without interruption.  We also pledge to communicate effectively, return all telephone calls by the next business day and treat everyone's property with respect.

Operating Territory:
North Metropolitan Atlanta, GA to include the following areas:
Cobb County (West Cobb, East Cobb, Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth, Smyrna, Vinings), South Cherokee County (Woodstock, Holly Springs, Hickory Flat), North Fulton County (Sandy Springs, Roswell, Alpharetta), North DeKalb County (Dunwoody), North Atlanta (Buckhead, Morningside, Ansley, Lenox, Mount Paran, Brookwood)

A Brief History:
In 1982 Dave was looking for a business idea.  He had heard the horror stories of the contractors that had shown up for their first draw and then disappeared or about those who were no-shows for appointments or did not return telephone calls and the ones whose work was sub-standard.  It occurred to him that there was an opportunity for someone in the residential remodeling industry who was none of the above.  The company started as a handyman business and operated as Homeowner's Handyman.  After a few years the projects were larger and even though he continued to do repairs it was evident that the Company name did not convey the true nature of what the business had become.  So in 1985 Dave changed the name of the Company to Taylormade Home Improvements and in 1992 incorporated as Taylor-Made Services, Inc.  The business is built on referrals from current and past clients and has never formally advertised in any media.

What we do - Residential only
Kitchens, Bathrooms, Basements, Room Additions, Porches, Decks, Interior Rooms to include The Whole House, Interior & Exterior Repairs, Electrical Installations and Repairs (Dave is a State Licensed Electrician).  We have licensed sub-contractors who have worked with us for years and are excellent in their fields (Plumbing, Painting, Masonry, Ceramic Tile, Flooring, HVAC, Decorating, Design, Roofing, Wallpaper, etc.).  We are happy to recommend these people to our clients when the need arises.

Proposals - Contracts
We do not use any standardized forms.  

Proposals: 
All of our proposals are very specific and detailed about the work we propose to do along with the full cost of the project.  We supply all materials except as specifically mentioned in the proposal.  Proposals are mailed within two weeks of the initial meeting with the client.  There is a minimum fee of $50.00 with a cap of $300.00 for all proposals for projects above $2000.00.  The fee is pro-rated to the size of the project and is fully refundable on the first contract payment.  A fee receipt is given to the homeowner at the time of payment stating the above.  We will be glad to mail a copy to anyone upon request.

Contracts:
All contracts read the same as the approved proposal.  In addition there is a payment schedule, a start date and a sign line for both the homeowner and the contractor.  The first payment on the contract is not due until the day we begin. 

Insurance
We carry General Liability and Worker's Compensation Insurance.  We will be glad to furnish proof of same upon request.
